Mission & Vision
Occupational Medicine assesses the health and safety of the military and civilian workforce of Redstone Arsenal. Our goal is to prepare and maintain a ready workforce by reducing the risk of occupational illness and injury.
Occupational Health promotes the health and safety of the Redstone Arsenal workforce by reducing risk of occupational illness or injury.
Services Provided
- DA / DOD civilian pre-employment and re-assignment examinations
- Deployment medical examinations; PDAs, PDHAs and PDHRAs
- OSHA mandated initial, periodic, annual and termination medical evaluations
- Fitness for Duty examinations
- Return to work clearance evaluations
- Occupational related immunizations
- Travel immunizations and education for DOD workforce with official TDY orders
- Work Site Visits
- Hearing and Vision Conservation program management
- Respiratory Protection Program management
- Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure surveillance and monitoring
- Rabies surveillance
- Ergonomic assessment and worksite surveys
- Evaluation and treatment of work related injuries and illnesses
- Workers Compensation referrals
- Training and education for OSHA mandated program
