To provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation services to Redstone Arsenal and the southern region to rule out TBI/concussions; clarify diagnoses (including psychological/psychiatric); and to provide a blueprint for treatment. Certified in Aeromedical Psychology to perform evaluations of pilots and aviation personnel with regard to determining ability to fly and perform flying duties. Services also include diagnostic testing for ruling out etiology of various cognitive complaints. In addition to assessment, the clinic provides ` individual psychotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy, particularly for patients with cognitive complaints and associated depression, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, headaches, and other forms of chronic pain. Cranial electrotherapy is available for depression, anxiety, pain, and sleep disturbances.
 

Neuropsychological Evaluations

Baseline and follow-up neuropsychological testing is available. Neuropsychological testing may include evaluation of IQ, academic skills, attention and concentration, speed of processing, perceptual abilities, motor skills, language, memory, executive functioning, and mood and personality. Referrals may be self-initiated or by any provider suspecting a neurological condition. Neuropsychological evaluations can greatly assist in clarifying diagnoses and developing a solid treatment program aimed to improve problematic symptoms. Testing is very sensitive to mild memory and thinking problems that might not be obvious in other ways. At other times, a thorough clinical interview may be all that is required.

How to Get an Appointment

• Referrals from your primary care provider are not required. If you would like to self-refer, please come by the clinic during work hours to fill out an assessment form. The clinic chief will review to see if we can accommodate your needs, and if so, we will schedule an appointment for you. If we cannot provide the necessary care, such as a child and adolescent psychiatrist, the option to go off post though TRICARE will be provided to you.
