Industrial Hygiene

Mission & Vision

Provide industrial hygiene support to both military and civilian employees working on Redstone Arsenal. The Industrial Hygiene (IH) team is responsible for anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling health hazards in the workplace.

Services Provided

• Conduct workplace assessments of ventilation, lighting, noise, chemicals, biological hazards, personal protective equipment, ergonomics and indoor air quality.
• Perform personnel monitoring and recommend work practice, personal protective equipment and engineering controls.
• Coordinate the Respiratory, Vision, and Hearing Conservation Programs for Redstone Arsenal.
• Manage the Ergonomics Program by conducting ergonomic worksite evaluations and providing training.
